    The Challenge

    The client needed an updated and responsive website that was able to showcase all of their services and better represent their mission and vision. They also needed a better way to communicate and disseminate information to the public. The client was facing challenges in collecting online donations and informing others about their events.

    Our Analysis

    Ran a content audit on the legacy WordPress install, cataloguing 140+ orphaned pages, broken redirects, and outdated grant copy.
    Interviewed program directors and recurring donors to separate storytelling needs from compliance copy required by Form 990 disclosures.
    Benchmarked Stripe, Donorbox, and Classy on fees, recurring-gift UX, and DAF (donor-advised fund) integration before selecting the payment stack.
    Defined a Google Maps + ICS calendar-feed pattern so chapter volunteers could publish events without touching the CMS.

    Our Solution

    We rebuilt the site as a story-led WordPress theme with a Stripe-powered recurring-gift checkout, a DAF/Benevity integration for matched gifts, a volunteer event hub backed by Google Maps and ICS feeds, and a hardened admin perimeter (Wordfence, 2FA, encrypted donor PII).

    The Results

    The redesigned website significantly boosted donor engagement and improved overall platform functionality. The $100K in online donations raised in the first three months exceeded expectations, while the integration of 100% secure donation processing instilled confidence in donors. The website's enhanced event features helped promote 20+ events, attracting more participants. Additionally, the 1,000+ monthly increase in traffic demonstrated the effectiveness of the user engagement strategies, leading to more visibility and support for the nonprofit.
